Some years ago when my husband and I were visiting our daughter and her new baby in the USA, we were standing at church with a group of people when my husband made the comment “may I nurse the baby?” the people standing around at the time were shocked at his comment as in the USA “nurse” means to breast feed. Our daughter quickly explained that in Australia “nurse” meant to hold or cuddle. I have said this to explain another language barrier namely the “submission and head” found in Eph. 5:22-24

The word “head” in Greek means source not authority as it does in the English. The word submission should read “support.”

Eph 5:21-24 Be filled with the Spirit, while you are supporting one another out of respect for the Anointed One, 22 Wives, with your own husbands, as with the Lord. 23 The man is the source of the woman just as the Anointed One is the source of the assembly. He Himself is the protector of the body. 24 Just as the assembly is a support for the Anointed One, so also let the wives be a support for their husbands in everything.

Jesus Christ is our example in everything, He never controls, He loves, supports, provides, nourishes and sacrifices for His body.

Some churches teach that the wife fulfills her calling by serving her husband and doing whatever he says. That her goal is to promote his ministry and do anything to make him successful and this will be counted to her for righteousness.

Firstly our righteousness is as filthy rags according to scripture. It is faith that works righteousness. Jesus righteousness is already ours, it was given the day we got saved. He already is our righteousness.

He saved us due to his mercy – and it wasn’t because of anything right that we did. Titus 3:5

In Romans 16:1 Phoebe was a woman deacon.

Romans 16:7 Junia who was a woman Apostle.

Romans 16:3-4 Priska who was a woman Pastor.

Phil. 4: 2-3 Euodia and Syntyche women who fought in the contest with Paul.

In the Old Testament – There were many mighty women who took the lead. Deborah, Jael, Rahab, Esther etc.

Here is a frightening truth. If a member of a Kingdom gives allegiance to other then the King of that Kingdom – they are guilty of treason.

The surrender of one’s person and conscience to the keeping of another human being is idolatry; a deadly sin against God. Love does not require it.

Why did God reward Abigail (1 Sam.25) for her disobedience to this so-called law of headship when she was honest enough to acknowledge that her husband was a fool? Scripture calls her a beautiful and intelligent woman. Abigail had her husband well and truly analyzed for when she learnt how stupid he had been, she did not even consult him when she took all the produce to David, knowing full well that her husband had just refused to give David anything.

I see in this a classic example of how a Christian spiritually mature woman should behave if she is married to a spiritually immature Christian, and a crisis arises in which she believes her husband is being foolish.

If Nabal had been spiritually aware and measured up to the occasion, she would have had no need to do what she did, but Nabal’s masculinity counted for nothing, as to authority over a wife wiser then himself. Abigail did the right and prudent thing in going against what she well knew was her husband’s will, to do what she could not have done with his knowledge.

She showed moral courage.

She averted a serious calamity – David praised her for it, he blessed her advise and scripture shows its approval – you know the rest of the story, she married the King.

Women to-day are usually counseled by their Pastors in time of crisis “Obey your husband and God will honor it.” That is like saying wrong becomes right because it comes out of a male’s mouth.”

Women you must start appreciating your worth in God’s eyes and enter into the work He has for you to do from the foundation of the world.

Sometimes a woman has the key – a word for a situation for a church or maybe your family or a friend.

Women have been kept in captivity. God has no ceiling, no limitation, no barriers, we hold ourselves back, it is time for you to get up and go kick the door down.

God did not put that door there, the devil did.

Your prospective will determine your destiny.

What is your prospective?

What is God’s prospective?

We have to confess Spirit prospective – get a vision. Get the CD’s from Kathie’s website The Almond Tree this teaching will help you see your vision

The Prophet Bob Jones said ” This is the year of the women”

Women are a threat to the devil, they will crush his head.

If God has called you, you have His stamp of approval. What more do you need?

I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. NOW!

Let’s agree with what God says, not what culture says, the religious system says, the nation says, you need to take the initiative and stop placing blame.

We are not usurping –  we are taking back God’s rule and order.

The King’s scepter is towards you to-day, will you step up, will you rise up and fulfill your destiny.
